ReelFox Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ReelFox (package in.provantic.reelfox), an Android video editor published by Provantic Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”), handles information. Contact: provantict@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your videos are edited, previewed and exported only on your phone. We never upload them and we have no servers that receive them.
- You don’t create an account. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number.
- At first launch we ask your year of birth and store only your age group (adult or under 18) on your phone. Users under 18 never see ads and the ads SDK is never started for them.
- The free version may show ads from Google AdMob to adults. ReelFox Pro, a one-time Google Play purchase, removes all ads.
1. What stays on your phone
- Videos, photos and music you pick. ReelFox opens only the files you choose with Android’s system picker. It does not scan your gallery and asks for no storage permission.
- Projects. Your edit decisions (cuts, filters, text, speed) are saved in the app’s private storage. They are deleted when you delete a project or uninstall the app. App data is excluded from Android cloud backup.
- Exports. Finished videos are saved to Movies/ReelFox on your phone. Sharing happens only when you tap Share.
- Settings. Export defaults, your age group, your personalised-ads choice and the cached Pro status are stored on the phone.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect or receive your videos, photos, audio, projects, name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location or files. ReelFox contains no analytics or tracking SDK of our own.
3. Services provided by Google
Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform (free version, adults only). To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction and diagnostic data, and may share it with Google’s advertising partners. In the EEA, the UK and US states with privacy laws you are asked for consent first, and you can change it any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices. You can turn off Settings › Personalised ads to receive non-personalised ads, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Ads are rewarded ads you choose to watch, and at most one full-screen ad after every two exports. Ads never appear while you edit. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps.
Google Play Billing. Pro is bought through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. The app asks Google Play whether your account owns Pro.
4. How information is used
On-device data is used only to run the editor. Your age group decides whether ads may be shown. Information handled by Google is used by Google as described in its policies.
5. Children
ReelFox is not directed at children under 13. If the age question shows a user may be under 18, the ads SDK is never initialised and no advertising data is collected through the app.
6. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws you may ask about, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data on servers, you control your data directly: delete projects in the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall it. See Delete your data. Ad data held by Google can be managed in your Google account and Android ad settings.
7. Where data is processed
Editing data stays on your device. Google may process ad and purchase data in countries where it operates.
8. Security
App data is kept in Android’s private app storage and excluded from cloud backup. Network use is limited to Google Play Billing and AdMob, over encrypted connections.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be shown in the app.
